For over 40 years Deb has been serving WOMEN who are giving birth to OUR FUTURE. As a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed in California she has supported 1000’s of women on this creation journey . She is an internationally recognized voice on Maternal Child Health Care reform. A Community Organizer, Midwifery Educator, and Grandmother, she blogs at: Birth, What’s in it for ME. Deb has devoted her adult life to women’s empowerment and family-making. She supports women in joyously birthing their children.
Deb lives in Northern California and Baja Mexico with her husband Bruce, two Mexican rescue dogs and and her birth tribe, together they play with their ten grand-children as often as possible!
She sits on the board of directors, and is the Administrative Director of the Institute of Feminine Arts and Sciences; an institution devoted to empowering women and brings the feminine mind and voice to all academic disciplines. Deb has been published in Midwifery Today, Mothering Magazine, and the Association of Pre and Perinatal Psychology and Health Journal. She teaches that mothers have the power to change the world, one baby at a time. Her passion is to awaken women to the power they have as creators of humanity. She inspires women to embrace the nine months of pregnancy and the process of giving birth as a profound opportunity for self-transformation and personal empowerment.
